Enciclopèdia Art
Concept
Plensa·Macbeth·Verdi is a two-volume, limited-edition, numbered collector’s edition published by Enciclopèdia Art. It faithfully reproduces the creations that the artist Jaume Plensa made during preparation for the opera Macbeth, which he directed himself and premiered at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in 2023. From the wax crayon, pencil and gouache drawings, printed life-size, to the digital illustrations he used as a visual script to explain his ideas to the team. Plensa·Macbeth·Verdi is also an autonomous piece of art, a retrospective look where we recognise the universe and the most representative works of Jaume Plensa, for example in the metallic silhouettes devised exclusively for this edition, which, transcending the limits of the book, create a subtle and versatile "Plensian" landscape of great beauty.
