BOTANTE N.33 Pétalo gigante
Patricia Varea Milan
Concept
Patricia is inspired by the "Godaeaejan" technique used by her Korean teacher Kim Daewoong, and by observing archaeological seeds. This collection of contemporary ceramics pays homage to the plant world, celebrating the life cycle from seed to flower and flower to seed. Each piece is a time capsule that connects past and present, fusing the delicate essence and resilience of nature with a contemporary aesthetic and technical complexity that evoke the beauty, movement and protection inherent in plant growth.

Patricia Varea Milan is a ceramist renowned for her innovative career in Contemporary Craftsmanship, in which, after more than two decades of dedication, she fuses archaeological research with a profound exploration of artisan methodology. She develops her ceramics in her studio, inspired by natural elements, where she experiments with materials such as clay, ashes and oxides to create organic forms and textures that evoke geological events, blurring the boundaries between tradition and modernity, and exploring ceramics as a symbiosis between art, archaeology and nature.
