El jarrón de la ventana de la playa
Javier Mariscal
Concept
In these works, Mariscal starts with a fundamental concept: each piece arises from a need to express a personal reflection, much like creating poetry. The jarrón de la ventana de la playa exudes joy and optimism through an imagined scene with a view of the sea. In this drawing, everyday life is transformed by imagination into something extraordinary, inviting the viewer to dream of serene, colorful landscapes.

Unique piece
Javier Mariscal is a multidisciplinary artist whose career celebrates the art of drawing and creativity. Born into a wealthy Valencian family, he discovered his true artistic identity in Barcelona, immersing himself in the city’s most bohemian and unconventional circles. After spending time in Ibiza living in a hippie commune, he returned to Barcelona, transitioning from underground art scenes to becoming one of the most original, surprising, and internationally sought-after designers. Mariscal has infused the magic of his comic art into diverse fields, including design, sculpture, painting, architecture, and film. His global breakthrough came with Cobi, the iconic mascot of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, cementing his reputation as a creative visionary. Over the course of his career, he has challenged conventions, inspired new movements, and toured the world with a style that is as unique as it is bold.
